Negro Leagues Baseball Museum

Kansas City, MO
Jim Crow

The only museum in the world dedicated to preserving the history of Black baseball and the Negro Leagues, located in Kansas City's historic 18th & Vine Jazz District. The Negro Leagues were not merely a separate institution — they were a thriving, Black-owned professional sports infrastructure that sustained communities, employed thousands, and produced legends like Satchel Paige, Josh Gibson, and Buck O'Neil during the era of enforced segregation.

Counter-Narrative

The myth this site refutes: that Black economic prosperity was impossible under Jim Crow. These walls prove otherwise.
