Atlanta, GA
Jim Crow

Founded in 1881 as the Atlanta Baptist Female Seminary, Spelman College is the most prestigious HBCU for women in the world. The campus is a National Historic Landmark and a living symbol of Black women's intellectual achievement.

Counter-Narrative

The myth this site refutes: that segregated education was uniformly inferior. These campuses produced lawyers who dismantled segregation itself.
